Internationally renowned stylist Oribe transformed swim suit model Kate Upton into a glamorous Hollywood siren for her appearance on the cover of Vogue Italia.
 
“She looks decadent and grown up,” Oribe said. “The shot really captures her in a beautiful way.” The photo shoot took place in the Marilyn Monroe suite of New York’s iconic Waldorf Astoria Hotel adding to the vintage Hollywood aura.

Here’s how Oribe got the look:

Using Oribe professional hair care products, begin by prepping the hair with Oribe Supershine Light and Power Dry.

Wrap hair in a traditional set using Soft Lacquer and a one-inch curling iron.

Brush out curls.

Spray the hair with Dry at the root level to create fullness.

Holiday Hair Trends 2012

The owner of Von Anthony Salon, Amy Kott Hovland, shares the holiday hair trends for 2012.


Holiday trends are all about beautiful hair. 

Multidimensional color is a huge trend. When it's done right hair looks shiny and natural. Stay within 2-3 shades of your natural color. (Right)

Also light blondes look fabulous by adding a bit of warmth; this looks very pretty because warmer tones reflect light and make hair appear shinier. (Left)

If you look at any fashion magazine you'll notice hair either has a heavy side part or its parted down the center.

An off center part gives a more casual appearance. 

For a side part you can use the arch of your eyebrow as a guide. 

Also if you're wearing your hair up for the night consider no part at all and go straight back.

1. Adding mega volume to the roots and feels weightless and looks completely invisible on the hair – Amazing…I use it every morning to lift the roots.
   
2. Adding texture – I love spraying my hair with it after I curl my hair. It gives this effortless beach wave texture to the curl.
   
   I spent years trying to figure out how the models/celebs have  this “undone” and effortless wavy hair (just like they got out of the bed but much better), and this is the key product!
